Hello Perfect Legs!

I have to be honest, I may be young to be using body lifting products and cellulite control, but I do and a product I have turned to is by Clarins. I have been using this lotion on some days, mostly days when I have be running or working out (after a shower of course) or before bed.

I don't use it everyday because I can't find a store in the US where it is sold still and, it's a little pricey to keep purchasing it all the time.

In Finland it cost €54.50/200mL from Sokos
From the US website, $68/6.7fl oz

**NOTE** The product I have is not available at Nordstrom any more online, the product from the links I believe are similar, just different name and package color.

The bottle comes in a box with a pamphlet. In the pamphlet it shows ways of messaging the lotion onto your legs.

There's a slight menthol smell, if you ever used after sun lotion like Aloe, I would say it is close to that with smell and the tingle feeling after you messaged it into your skin. I also found it doesn't  moisturize my skin like normal lotion.

I would say the first time using this product I did notice a difference, but this is a product that when you stop, it will no longer have an effect.

I know this is on the pricey side and I really do like this product, but I have also tried NIVEA Skim Firming w/Q10 and it is more affordable. You can find it little under $8 from Walmart. Being a student, after my Clarins is used up, I'll be switching over to NIVEA, though thinking about this, makes me sad, but a girls got to eat. :)

Perfume

Let me talk perfumes. It's really hard for me to really fall in love with a scent, but I think I found the one! Untitled by Masion Martin Margiela.

We first met in my branding class back in 2012. This bottle is a deluxe sample which I picked up from Stockmann, for those who don't know, it's a department store in Finland. Now a bit more about the perfume.

Well it has an interesting scent, which I will try my best to describe. Sweet and Musty...Okay maybe the website would be better.

So I guess I was close enough. Now lets move on to price.

Like I said I picked this deluxe sample from Stockmann. If the price of a full bottle scares you, you might want to first test the scent and ask from a sample. Why commit to something that you might not like in 30 mins after putting it on.

I used Google shopping and it gave me only one store in my area, Saks Fifth Avenue
 $77/30mL $100/50mL $140/75mL
(For Stockmann in Finland, I couldn't find it on the web page, and for the 30mL i found it here)

I would encourage a Google such for your own area if you want to give this a sniff.

I WILL be putting this on my Christmas list this year for sure!!!

End of August Hiking!!??

So it's been really slow at work this past 2 weeks, which is not a problem since I have an internship  portfolio to write and a thesis to think about. On top of that, this month is almost over!!! Next time I blink it will be September. Good Grief where has the time gone. Well here's a great time to update about my time in LA.

Well I have not done anything major since my dad last visited. It's quit sad. However, I did go on a hike the other day. My legs are just now over being sore. I went hiking at the Temescal Canyon and was hoping to spot the ocean, but the fog was in the way. Anyway, I still took some pictures.

This up coming Sunday I am planning on going on another hike with my childhood friend. She is going to take me to Runyon Canyon. She said it's going to be a work out, so I can't wait!

                              That's all for now.

OH YES! My beauty section should be ready soon, but if I can't do what I plan on doing on that page, I might just post regular post about beauty stuff.

My Southern CA Life

So back in July I moved to Southern California, and any of you that are native to this area, may know where I moved to exactly, but even though I'm blasting my life, somethings are best kept secret.

It's been almost a month and I think I'm just now settling comfortably. I'm a pro at taking the bus here and coming from living in Finland, walking around and public transportation is nothing but second nature. HOWEVER there is TRAFFIC everywhere.

I don't go out much, seeing that I'm on my own here and don't have many friends, but I make due with my situation, and since I've visited here many times before, I've seen the sites that need to be seen.

What is great with my location, it is a constant 75F (23C) outside with a chilly breeze, but the sun shines on.

If you have seen my instagram, you may notice this little hairy roommate. He has became my best friend and confidant. I am afraid I am slowly turning into a cat person, sorry soma soms, but he's the only person to tell it like it is, well DUH! he's a cat. But enough about him.

Southern California is VERY different than Northern California, people here have a go go go have to be done yesterday attitude, where as Northerners are more, go go go, done today? Is that a thing? ANYWAY they have 1 thing in common, southern hospitality and heath nuts! :)

If your from either parts of California and just happened to be reading this, what is your opinion on the Cali folk, or if your not from Cali, I'm interested to hear what you think?

Father Daughter Day

On Sunday my dad was in the area for work and he came over to my side of town to visit. We had a great father daughter day. I always enjoy hanging out with my dad. My favorite time was when he drove me cross country from California to Arkansas. Riding in his big truck was the best. I never had been in a big rig before or slept at truck stops, it was awesome.

Sunday, we just went out for a late lunch early dinner and THE BEST dinner. It is called "50's Cafe". It's located on Santa Monica Blvd, in West L.A. They are a 50's inspired dinner with really good shakes and burgers. My dad ordered the Dakota Buffalo Burger and I had the California Burger. (mine came with avocado, it's not Californian if it does not have avocado) I showed him where I work and a little of Santa Monica and were off to the beach to walk off our food. We drove down PCH a little ways from the Santa Monica pier, to a beach I can not remember.

But the best part of our day was the dinner. If your visiting the LA area, I recommend you stop by the Cafe 50's

Finding the Perfect Place to Stay

Traveling in Europe was a great experience and nothing says experience than staying in a hostel. Being from the US, hostels never seemed to be the most safest or cleanest places. That all changed once I  looked for places the Europe trip. One of the websites that I used for all bookings was,Hostel World. There is also Hostel Bookers, but since I didn't use them, I can't give an opinion, but their website didn't seem as inviting as Hostel World. If your planning a Euro trip, either to one city or more, your best starting place is Hostel World. Check them out on FacebookTwitter or Pinterest
